Starting from "Al Borgo"

Starting from "Al Borgo" you can easily reach Marinella sandy beaches, through the River Park cycle tracks. You can visit the hills of Sarzanello, Fosdinovo and - with some more kilometres - you can reach Lerici and Tellaro .
Not far from Lerici, Porto Venere accessible by bike, car or sea along with Palmaria, Tino and Tinetto.

Al Borgo is strategically positioned with respect to the commercial area . The center is rich in all kinds of shops, bars, restaurants, pizzerias, bakeries and famous ice cream parlors as well as disco-pubs, cinema and theater. Not far, on the ring road, there are department stores, the Centroluna shopping centre and McDonald's, loved by young and old people alike!

Historical Sites

The Sarzanello Fortress is one of Sarzana symbols, a military fortification located on the nearby hill of Sarzanello. Because of its strategic location it was used as a control on major roads in the valley .

The Firmafede Fortress, today called Citadel, it was the first fortification in Sarzana. Initially built in 1249, it was destroyed and ribuilt in 1487 by Lorenzo dè Medici, the Magnificent.
Sarzana was defended by a wall with towers, where the access to the village were located .
The town is rich in churches and historical palaces.
